Verb "to be"
- I am: how to talk about yourself
- Using is with he, she, it and singular subjects
- Are: you, we, they, and several people or things
- Am not, is not, are not: making a present fact negative
- Contractions of to be: the same idea in a shorter form
- Questions with am, is and are: checking rather than stating
- Short answers with to be: answering about the right person
Articles
Personal Pronouns
- Subject personal pronouns: I, you, he, she, it, we, they
- Object pronouns: help me, with us, use them
- Possessive adjectives: my, your, his, her, its, our, their
- It: saying “It is cold”, “It is six” and “It is two kilometres to the station”
- Subject or object: choosing a personal pronoun form
